(Beijing, January 22) China failed to snap its losing streak in the "Good Luck Beijing" 2008 Wheelchair Basketball International Invitational Tournament after conceding to Athens Paralympic champions Canada 69-47 in the last preliminary round this afternoon.

Canada set an 11-3 lead early in the first quarter before China cut the deficit by earning 6 points in a row. The Canadians set the pace in the last three minutes for a 21-14 advantage after that period.

Leading 37-24 into the second half, the guest team erupted for a 15-2 run and headed into the last quarter at 57-30.

The Chinese played strongly in offense and got 17 points in the fourth quarter but were unable to make further trouble to the Canadians.

Canada ends up second with two wins and one loss while China finishes at the bottom with three defeats.
