

(Beijing, January 20) In the second day's competitions of the "Good Luck Beijing" 2008 Wheelchair Basketball International Invitational Tournament, the Canadian and Chinese women's teams were outgunned again, falling to Japan and Germany tandem.
In the first match held today, the Japanese women's team overcame its Canadian counterpart 52-42 and the former currently stands atop the group with two wins.
Later in the men's game between Australia and Canada, the finalists of the 2004 Paralympic Games, the Australians got over a 25-20 deficit at halftime to rally and pose a 9-0 run late in the fourth quarter for the ensuing 57-46 triumph.
It was another hard day for host China as its men's team lost to the Netherlands 59-29 and its women's team suffered two losses in a row after losing to Germany 66-42.
Tomorrow will see the last preliminary round of the tournament.
